BLUE
AND GRAY SWIFT WING
REPRESENTING
SWIFTERS IN THE NORTHEASTERN UNITED STATES
From:
Steve Roth <swift29k@aol.com>
The purpose of this e-mail is to garner support of those
within a reasonable
distance to an arbitrary center point of Washington, DC
to continue to keep the
Swift flying, and active. Recently at the Swift National
Fly-In at Athens, TN, a new
Swift caretaker, Ray Franke - N2405B, and I were lamenting
about the lack of Swift
flying activity in the Northeast. We decided that we would
make a strong attempt
to have Swift Gatherings to encourage more activity. Ray
Franke resides in
Pennsylvania (he hangars his Swift at Lehighton, PA - 22N
and I (Steve Roth)
hangar my Swift (N3729K) at Culpeper, VA - KCJR).
Ray Franke and I will be
establishing a "Blue & Gray Swift Wing" to cover the
various states in this part
of the world. We hope to encourage Swifts to "gather", and
for caretakers to know
and help each other. Membership will be only "put me on
the list". Fair enough?
Any ideas? Let Ray (rayfranke@hotmail.com)
and I (swift29k@aol.com)
know. I have
established a Group page on Facebook -- search for "Globe
& Temco Swift" - as a
meeting point. Thanks and regards, Steve Roth, Madison,
VA Swift N3729K

SOUTHERN SWIFT
AIR GROUP
|
The Southern Swift Air Group was formed to fill a
void in activity for Swifters in the Southeast US
and to provide a means for us to gather, enjoy our
Swifts, talk flying in general and continue the warm
and friendly environment that Swifters and others
in flying have always enjoyed. The SSAG will move
the fly ins around the Southeast and will use a different
host for each event.
