Just Over 4 Months Away!!!
Last month’s
step was about flying your airplane. Getting familiar with
it so the trip to Athens (May 24 through May 29, 2010) will
be a piece of cake. Practice your take-offs and landings
at least once a month and do a couple of long cross country’s
between now and May 24th.
Step 7, Your Health
– Is your medical certificate current and if it is
now, will it be current during the dates of the fly-in?
What about you’re Bi-annual Flight Review? How much
time did you spend with the flight instructor the last time,
and was he/she a Swift check-out pilot?
Please check your current
medical certificate and the last time you had a logbook
entry for a bi-annual flight review. Is there anyone who
would like to accompany you to Athens next year in your
plane who could be PIC if that’s all it took for you
to be legal? If so, you need to make those arrangements
now.
You may be the best
Swift pilot out there, but if your medical isn’t current,
it may be the one thing that keeps you from attending the
fly-in in your airplane. I know that if there’s a
will……………. you will find a
way! Now is the time to plan for this. It is important for
you to be in attendance this year.
Haven’t
flown in a while? If all you need to do is brush up on your
flying skills and you plan on flying your Swift to Athens,
who better to help you with that than a Swift check out
pilot! The time is now; the fly-in is just a little over
4 months away. If you enjoyed flying your Swift, but haven’t
done it for a while, locate the instructor or Swift check
out pilot you feel the most comfortable with before they
are too busy helping another Swift owner.
If you’re
planning on attending, please email me at diamond2055@aol.com
so I can include you on the list.
