September has arrived and there are only 9 months left till
the "2010 Old Timers Swift Fly-In".
Last month's
step was to mark the dates of the 2010 National Swift Fly-In
on the calendar you will most likely see on a regular basis
next year. The brightly colored Post-It-Notes I mentioned
last month will also aid in date awareness between now and
May 24 through
May 29, 2010.
In order to keep the 12 steps in their proper order and
in-sync with The Swift Museum Foundation newsletter, this
month, I am going to elaborate a little more on Step #3.
Step #3, Schedule The Time – Whither you are working
or retired, it is important to schedule the time off from
work or keep from scheduling things that will prevent you
from being in attendance. Keeping the week before... the
week of... and the week after... the fly-in dates open now,
will help insure that nothing creates a conflict for you
being there. "The 2010 Old Timers Swift Fly-In"
could be one of the biggest Nationals in the history of
the Swift Museum Foundation.
I recommend carrying a date reminder card with you with
the Fly-In dates written on it. When you are scheduling
your vacation, time off or even doctors or dentist appointments,
please refer to that card.
Next month, a sneak peak of the "Old Timers" I’ve
heard from that are planning on attending. I am sure there
will be someone in attendance you would like to see. If
you’re planning on attending, please email me at diamond2055@aol.com
so I can include you on the list.
